Mission Atomic is the 4th book that delivers a thrilling end for The 39 Clues: Doublecross series. Originally released in 2016, the young-adult adventure book is written by Sarwat Chadda.
The Outcast, an evil genius and also current enemy of Amy and Dan Cahill, has recreated three of the world’s most tragic disasters. However, he still holds something even more catastrophic up his sleeve. He plans to unleash a full-scale nuclear meltdown. On their effort to stop the terror, Dan and Amy reveal that all of those disaster recreations are just a cover-up of what the Outcast is really up to. The truth about the Outcast is greatly shocking for the Cahills and it forces the two siblings to face a hard truth.
The book is preceded by Mission Hurricane. (Although it is not officially in the same series, The 39 Clues Superspecial: Outbreak (PDF) is often referred as the 5th additional book following Mission Atomic.)

Summary of the Book
As Dan and Amy race around the world, they discover something horrifying. The Outcast’s disasters are only a smokescreen to cover up his true plan, a diabolical revenge on the family that betrayed him. Soon Amy and Dan will have to confront a hard truth: sometimes the only way to save the world is to sacrifice everything you love.
My sons and I read every book in this series. We liked the characters and easily fell into their odd adventures. The first books introduced us to many wonderful locations around the world, the latter series were more bad vs. good guys, but we were comfortable with the books by then and kept going.
